About the Role
This role involves leading the development and management of BIM models for dry utilities infrastructure, ensuring design accuracy, coordination across disciplines, and compliance with project standards using Revit and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed BIM models for dry utilities systems
- Ensure models align with engineering designs and project specifications
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for interdisciplinary coordination
- Apply Revit standards specific to utility infrastructure modeling
- Support clash detection and resolution through model reviews
- Develop and enforce modeling workflows and quality control procedures
- Produce construction documentation derived from BIM models
- Assist in the development of BIM execution plans
- Coordinate with project managers on deliverable timelines
- Integrate design changes into models efficiently
- Maintain consistent model organization and naming conventions
- Train team members on BIM best practices and Revit techniques
- Troubleshoot modeling issues and provide technical support
- Ensure compliance with client-specific BIM requirements
- Participate in design coordination meetings
- Use Navisworks for model review and coordination when required
- Support as-built modeling and handover processes
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives for BIM workflows
- Stay current with evolving BIM technologies and standards
- Work closely with international project teams across time zones
Nice to Have
- Professional certification in Revit or BIM management
- Experience with automated modeling tools or Dynamo scripting
- Background in telecommunications or utility network design
- Prior work with multinational engineering firms
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE)
- Experience mentoring junior BIM staff
