As Senior Director, Social Media, you’ll shape integrated strategies that span social platforms, influencer partnerships, and data-informed campaigns. You’ll serve as the primary strategic advisor to clients, guiding everything from content direction to performance optimization and long-term growth.
Strategic Leadership & Client Growth
Own the client relationship from strategy through execution, ensuring alignment across paid, owned, and earned channels. Develop new business opportunities by identifying prospects that align with the brand portfolio and positioning integrated digital solutions that deliver measurable impact. Present actionable insights based on performance analytics and market trends to guide client decision-making.
Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across social, paid media, and creator disciplines. Set performance benchmarks, review deliverables, and foster professional growth. Work closely with internal teams to expand the reach of integrated services, ensuring seamless delivery across creative, media, and digital functions.
Operational & Financial Oversight
Manage budgets, negotiate scopes and fees, and oversee vendor partnerships with a focus on margin protection and efficiency. Prepare proposals and pricing models for new and existing business, balancing client needs with financial sustainability. Oversee user-generated content programs from planning to execution, ensuring brand consistency, timeliness, and budget adherence.
Innovation & Industry Forward-Thinking
Collaborate with agency leadership to advance capabilities in emerging areas such as creator monetization, social commerce, platform-native shopping, and AI-powered workflows. Stay ahead of digital trends and platform shifts to bring forward-thinking ideas to clients and internal teams alike.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience in social strategy and digital campaign management
- Deep understanding of social platforms, audience behaviors, and influencer ecosystems
- Proven success managing paid social and creator amplification campaigns
- Strong presentation, writing, and relationship management skills
- Experience with analytics, content distribution, SEO, and creator whitelisting
- Familiarity with photography, videography, or AI-driven creative tools
- Agency experience preferred, with a passion for lifestyle, travel, or hospitality brands
Work Environment
This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring presence in one of the following offices: New York City, Denver, Chicago, or Columbus, with at least two days per week onsite. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Compensation & Benefits
