Wasserman is looking for a Senior Digital Lead to deliver the digital strategy, product development, and technology roadmap for a major sports rights holder. You will ensure digital platforms serve both fan and commercial partner needs, acting as a key driver at the intersection of technology, business, and partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Develop, deliver, and optimise SA Rugby’s digital products (e.g., website, fan data platforms, CRM, e-commerce).
- Manage technical delivery teams and third-party suppliers (agencies, developers, tech suppliers).
- Ensure robust data governance, privacy compliance (e.g., POPIA, GDPR), and cybersecurity.
- Act as the key digital interface and driver for commercial partners, sponsors, internal teams, and wider business stakeholders.
- Support the Wasserman commercial team by advising on how digital assets can be packaged, measured, and monetised.
- Work closely with SARU marketing, content, commercial, ticketing, and media teams to align digital strategy with business goals.
- Champion innovation around fan engagement, data personalisation, digital membership, loyalty, gamification, and immersive content.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior digital, product, or technology leadership role, ideally with a sports club, league, federation, or large-scale rights holder.
- Track record of delivering measurable digital growth, especially around fan acquisition, engagement, or sponsor value delivery.
