Currently, we're supporting the cloud architecture and platform strategies of a prominent wearable-technology organization developing advanced worker-safety innovations. We're seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with exceptional expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP, complemented by robust communication capabilities and the skill to effectively guide development teams. This position requires close client collaboration, infrastructure strategic planning, mid-level engineer mentorship, and assistance in designing and delivering production systems. Responsibilities (DevOps & Leadership Focused): - Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP - Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and enhance delivery workflows - Engage directly with client stakeholders to clarify requirements, propose solutions, and provide progress updates - Guide and support developers, ensuring superior engineering standards and seamless infrastructure execution - Collaborate closely with backend developers to create scalable, dependable service architectures - Diagnose production challenges across distributed systems and conduct comprehensive root-cause investigations - Strategic planning for security, networking, cost efficiency, and reliability across cloud platforms - Document architectural decisions, processes, diagrams, and operational guidelines Tech Stack: Infrastructure & DevOps: - Terraform - Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) - Docker - GitHub Actions - AWS + GCP hybrid Backend Backend: - Node.js / TypeScript - Serverless (Lambda, Cloud Run, Vercel) Frontend: - React, Next.js, TailwindCSS Data: - PostgreSQL - ClickHouse (nice to have) Requirements: - 5+ years DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Senior Full-Stack experience with strong infrastructure ownership - Advanced proficiency in Terraform and Kubernetes (production-level, multi-environment) - Comprehensive hands-on experience across AWS and GCP - Solid TypeScript/Node fundamentals for backend developer support - Exceptional communication skills for client interactions and technical representation - Demonstrated experience mentoring developers in collaborative settings - Comprehensive understanding of cloud networking, IAM, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure security - SQL database expertise; PostgreSQL required, ClickHouse preferred - Ability to work Eastern Timezone core hours - Canadian-based candidates preferred (open to compatible time zone candidates) Benefits: - Fully remote - $10,000–$14,000 CAD monthly - Flexible working hours (within ET core hours) - Full-time contract role Application Requirement — Loom Video: Submit a concise Loom video (maximum 2 minutes) including: - Personal introduction and location - Rationale for role alignment with career trajectory - Additional compelling candidacy details Straightforward presentation preferred.
