The Stellar Development Foundation is hiring a Senior Developer Advocate to leverage the launch of smart contracts on Stellar. Your mission is to increase developer participation and bootstrap the ecosystem of tools, protocols, dapps, and educational resources.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute engaging strategies for in-person activations to attract and inspire developers to build with Stellar.
- Give keynotes, lead workshops, provide hands-on mentorship, and represent SDF at global conferences, hackathons, and builder events.
- Create tutorials, videos, code samples, docs, and interactive content to help developers understand Stellar's potential.
- Review technical documentation, pull requests, and ecosystem contributions with editorial and engineering expertise.
- Actively seek out builders in other ecosystems, including those interested in blockchain and AI, and bring them into the Stellar developer community.
- Drive participation in developer-facing programs such as the Stellar Ambassador Program and the Stellar Community Fund.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years as a developer advocate in web3 with a strong background in engineering.
- Experience using AI as part of your development workflow and excitement to help others use AI.
- Experience writing technical documentation, developer guides, or educational content.
- Familiarity with smart contract platforms (Wasm- or EVM-based) and ability to understand subtle platform differences.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- A portfolio highlighting best web3 DevRel work or an active social media presence demonstrating industry leadership.
- A playbook of web3 DevRel ideas and the ownership to execute on key strategies quickly.
- A passion for building, tinkering, and helping others bring ideas to life.
- An endlessly curious explorer mindset.
- A love of travel and flexibility to attend global events often.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing and deploying smart contracts, ideally across multiple chains including Stellar.
- Experience building full-stack applications using JavaScript and React.
- Experience with Rust or excitement to deepen knowledge.
- Experience working in or contributing to open-source blockchain ecosystems and familiarity with Docursaurus.
- Knowledge of blockchain analytics and developer onboarding funnels.
- A history of engagement with the Stellar community.
