SanMar is looking for a Senior Designer to join our team. Senior Designers are master-level designers and skilled storytellers who use design to bring ideas to life. You will be responsible for hands-on projects from concept brainstorming to final launch, focusing on production-led design and premium, ground-breaking work.
What You'll Do
- Execute and manage original, persuasive, conceptual and visually compelling design work in line with agency standards.
- Lead projects with a focus on storytelling through motion design.
- Work with Creative Directors and Design Directors to ensure design work exceeds client expectations.
- Maintain and promote an internal awareness of industry design trends and standards with a strong focus on processes and tools.
- Inspire a positive creative culture by projecting a sense of ownership that elevates the standards and quality of all work achieved by the Design department.
- Demonstrate an ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time while maintaining clear vision of priorities.
- Set an example for more junior design staff toward the goal of accelerating skill progression in a culture of collaboration.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of cutting edge digital creative work.
- Expert-level understanding of design spanning typography, layout, campaign generation, brand identity, social campaigns, web and interactive design.
- Experience in a fast-paced agency environment, with case studies demonstrating work on recognizable brands.
- Expertise in communicating brand narratives through storyboards/styleframes, illustration, or a combination thereof.
- Experience developing novel concepts for motion design and leading animation projects alongside animators.
- Experience creating novel brand identity systems or expanding existing brand guidelines.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Strong proficiency of Figma, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Active user of AI image generation tools.
- A willingness to share skills and knowledge with more junior team members.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of After Effects and Cinema 4d.
