As a Senior Data Scientist within the Central Data Science (CDS) Team, you will develop prototypes and production-ready applications using Data Science and Machine Learning to create sustainable value across all areas of the company.
What You'll Do
- Build advanced Data Science and Machine Learning prototypes to validate new use cases with business stakeholders and quickly determine technical feasibility and business value.
- Support the development of production-ready Data Science solutions in cross-functional Product Teams, ensuring high technical quality and measurable business impact.
- Publish impactful applied AI research in the pharmaceutical environment to strengthen scientific credibility, foster trust, and promote a culture of excellence.
- Contribute to overarching initiatives such as AI strategy, monitoring key AI domains, business coordination, collaboration with internal IT platform teams, and academic partnerships.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- Several years of relevant professional experience in Python programming and common ML libraries like scikit-learn, pytorch, and tensorflow.
- Experience in software development and deploying models on cloud platforms such as AWS or Databricks.
- Expertise in business domains relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
- AI research experience at a university or in industrial labs with a demonstrable publication record and solid knowledge of new AI developments.
- Excellent technical leadership and communication skills for cross-domain collaboration in multi-team environments.
- Fluent English skills in both spoken and written form.
Nice to Have
- Advanced scientific degrees are desirable.
- Experience in methods for developing Foundation Models for text, image data, or molecules is advantageous.
