What You'll Do
Drive the creation and deployment of AI-powered forecasting systems that shape inventory planning and purchasing decisions. You'll analyze sales patterns, product data, and external variables like weather and seasonality to build predictive models that improve stock availability and reduce waste. Your work will directly influence supply chain efficiency across a global retail network.
Collaborate closely with business, engineering, and product teams to ensure data science initiatives align with operational goals. You'll refine existing forecasting methodologies, assess model performance, and translate complex findings into clear, strategic recommendations using data visualizations and reports. Stay ahead of advancements in machine learning and supply chain analytics to continuously improve system accuracy and scalability.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years in data science with demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, time series forecasting, and machine learning
- Familiarity with supply chain operations, especially demand planning and inventory optimization
- Ability to frame business challenges as data problems and deliver actionable insights
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and related data science tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and structured analytical thinking
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams across data, product, and business functions
- Curiosity to experiment with new methods and improve existing processes
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Technical Stack
You'll work with Databricks, AWS, and GCP for cloud infrastructure, using Python, PySpark, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for modeling. The environment includes MLFlow for model tracking, Airflow for orchestration, Docker and Protobuf for deployment, and collaboration tools like Git, Confluence, and Tableau. Development workflows are supported by GitHub Actions and gRPC services.
