Mirakl is hiring a Senior Data Scientist NLP/GenAI - Catalog

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Catalog team. You will prototype, iterate, and ship algorithms to production in close collaboration with Product, Data Engineering, and Software teams. Your focus will be on solving Marketplace catalog challenges using NLP, Computer Vision, and large-scale Generative AI, leveraging rich data to grow revenue, streamline operations, and ensure safety.

What You'll Do

• Analyze and prepare data, and prototype algorithms.
• Put algorithms into production in collaboration with Data Engineers and development teams.
• Build dashboards to demonstrate algorithm performance and monitor production systems.
• Present results at weekly data science meetings and participate in team brainstorms.
• Partner with other teams to refine use cases, user experience, and integration paths.

What We're Looking For

• At least 4 years’ experience as a Data Scientist in industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with NLP and applied Machine Learning.
• Experience deploying Machine Learning algorithms to production environments.
• Knowledge of NLP and Computer Vision algorithms and state-of-the-art architectures like Transformers.
• Fluent in Python and TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
• Experience with Spark development.
• A pragmatic, data-driven, and business-oriented approach.
• Takes full ownership of topics, works autonomously, and is a great team player.
• Brings a positive mindset with respect and kindness as core values.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the latest large language models (LLMs).
• Enjoys sharing work through internal talks, conferences, or writing.

Team & Environment

You will join our Data Science team, which is part of the Mirakl Labs teams mainly based in France, and report to a Data Science Manager.
