HeroSoftware GmbH is looking for a Senior Data Scientist (m/w/d) to build the structures, insights, and decision-making foundations from Shopify Apps. You will be responsible for data architecture, modeling, and creating analytics frameworks within our small, motivated team.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain a scalable data warehouse architecture.
• Integrate various data sources (e.g., MongoDB, APIs, DigitalOcean, Shopify).
• Build dashboards and data models to support decision-making.
• Set up correct tracking structures and events in collaboration with developers.
• Collaborate closely with product and growth teams.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) on large datasets.
• Develop clear dashboards and visualizations.
• Build a comprehensive analytics framework including KPIs, reports, and data models.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in data engineering or data science.
• Ability to model, transform, and analyze data using Python, SQL, or similar.
• Experience with databases like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Experience building data pipelines and knowledge of ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud deployments (e.g., DigitalOcean, AWS, GCP).
• A structured, solution-oriented, and independent way of working.
• Fluent in both German and English.
