Cloud Chamber is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join the Core Games Insights team supporting 2K core games, including titles from Gearbox and Gravity Well. In this role, you will act as a lead data authority, directly contributing to the design and growth of new games by helping studios optimize gameplay and player engagement from early production through launch.
What You'll Do
- Leverage expertise in product analytics, applied data science (A/B testing, experimentation, predictive modeling), and product management.
- Develop and articulate opportunities for game features and economy optimization to drive player acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Research and implement models to deeply understand and improve in-game experiences, such as gameplay tuning and player segmentation.
- Partner with and present insights to strategic business partners, including Growth Strategy, Marketing, and Product Development.
- Guide several in-development titles through early data creation through launch.
- Craft accessible insights for partners of all technical backgrounds to influence changes in new and existing titles.
What We're Looking For
- A demonstrated foundation and technical breadth in statistics, machine learning, and data analytics.
- A creative problem solver and self-starter with the passion to drive impact.
- The ability to balance technical problem-solving with concise, transparent partner communications.
- Proficiency in presenting technical findings in an accessible way to partners of varying backgrounds.
- Proficiency in Python or R programming.
- Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
- Proficiency in creating rich data visualizations and visual storytelling using platforms like Tableau.

- Salary range: $108,900 - $161,160 per year (for California at start of employment).
