The Senior Data Operations Manager will lead platform management, user engagement, and technical oversight for OMD EMEA's proprietary Omni platform. Reporting to an Associate Director transitioning to a strategic role, this position plays a central role in improving data quality, supporting users, deploying new functionality, and serving as the subject matter expert across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Understanding problems facing teams and owning both the conversation and solution
- Staying ahead of major strategic developments to ensure preparedness for changes in scope or support
- Evaluating the entire workflow/strategy to identify opportunities for more intelligent operations
- Taking the lead on data quality by quantifying and improving punctuality, completeness, and accuracy of data
- Being the first point of contact (with direct report) for confused or lost users
- Resolving user issues while explaining root causes and how to prevent recurrence
- Identifying common or disruptive issues and considering platform tweaks to prevent recurrence
- Engaging middle/senior management on platform capabilities and limitations
- Maintaining platform visibility in broader strategic conversations
- Assertively engaging users and stakeholders when new functionality is deployed to ensure understanding of functionality and objectives
- Building, testing, and deploying new functionality
- Understanding the backend of the platform and identifying technical limits
- Re-evaluating older backend elements for potential benefits from rebuilding
- Maintaining strong relationships with developers, software engineers, and external technical stakeholders including clients
What We're Looking For
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical communication skills to engage effectively with software developers/engineers
- Ability to be clear, concise, and patient with users, many of whom may not speak English as their first language or may be new to the industry
- Confidence to speak for the platform in front of senior agency management and senior clients
- Ability to answer questions and establish oneself as the subject matter expert in every conversation
- Aptitude for platform and reporting system development
- Understanding of how different teams with different skillsets can collaborate to deliver more data, higher quality data faster
- Broad understanding of media buying, ad tech and taxonomies
- Capacity to learn how different software platforms and parts of a single platform pass data between them
- VERY high competence at Microsoft Excel
- Strong Word/PowerPoint skills
- Presentation skills, especially the ability to convey technical subjects to non-technical audiences concisely and confidently

- SQL, Python or similar
- Regex
- Expert-level familiarity with the rest of the MS Office suite
- PowerBI (Tableau, MCI, etc also useful)
- Experience in building/calling API queries
