Jobgether is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines that power analytics, marketing, and data science initiatives. In this remote role, you will take ownership of major components of the organization’s data infrastructure, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and performant data delivery.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines into cloud-based data warehouses, optimizing for performance, cost, and reliability.
- Architect and implement advanced data models using DBT, including establishing testing, documentation, and code quality standards.
- Lead integrations with third-party platforms, including Segment, to ensure accurate and consistent data across the organization.
- Own complex data projects end-to-end, collaborating with BI, Marketing, and Data Science teams to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements and implement solutions to enhance the overall data ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of designing and owning production data pipelines.
- Deep expertise in cloud-based data warehousing, especially BigQuery, and strong knowledge of data modeling and schema optimization.
- Advanced proficiency with DBT and experience in architecting scalable, maintainable data transformation workflows.
- Experience integrating multiple third-party data sources and managing event streaming strategies.
- Strong architectural mindset with the ability to design scalable and resilient data systems.
- Effective collaboration and mentorship experience, with the ability to guide junior engineers.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
