What You'll Do
- Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to identify key metrics, clarify data needs, and guide projects to completion.
- Design and maintain data models and reporting tables in AWS Redshift using DBT to support dashboard visualizations in tools like Tableau and AWS QuickSight.
- Take ownership of data deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks to ensure timely and accurate outcomes.
- Collaborate with BI analysts, software engineers, and data specialists to build scalable, reliable data pipelines and solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a data-focused engineering role with proven leadership in complex data environments.
- Direct experience working with stakeholders to define data strategies, KPIs, and required data architecture.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including mastery of joins, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations.
- Hands-on experience building and managing ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Strong familiarity with cloud data warehouses, particularly AWS Redshift.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
- Demonstrated accountability, persistence, and a commitment to learning from challenges.
- Curiosity-driven approach to problem-solving and deep investigation of data issues.
- Business insight to align data work with strategic goals and measurable impact.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DBT, AWS DMS, Fivetran, or Boomi for data integration and transformation.
- Background working in field operations or service delivery environments.
