The Nielsen Company is seeking a Senior Controller France (Chief Accountant) (H/F) to lead all aspects of local controlling and accounting for our France market. You will coordinate between finance functions, perform local accounting activities, and maintain core finance processes, ensuring robust financial governance.
What You'll Do
- Manage the local accounting and controllership function.
- Manage statutory and tax compliance requirements, including Local GAAP statutory financial statements and tax calculations.
- Maintain local statutory accounts and ensure ongoing compliance to local regulation for the local legal entities.
- Act as a single point of contact for internal auditors and/or tax and legal authorities or advisors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant global, regional, or local policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on US-GAAP accounting/ closing, accruals, and BS account reconciliations.
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on Financial closing (Monthly, Q, and YE reporting).
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on Tax Reporting (US-GAAP) and local CIT submission.
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on Monthly VAT preparation per local requirements.
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on Intrastat declaration (DES).
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on Fees annual declaration (DAS 2).
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on Statutory Financial Statements preparation.
- Manage Procure-to-pay functions (approving payments, point of contact for AP escalations, etc).
- Manage Intercompany transactions and reconciliation.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure an effective control environment through active coordination with the Group Controller and the International Core teams.
- Responsible for the maintenance of local statutory accounts and ensure ongoing compliance to local regulation for the local legal entity.
Team & Environment
Coordinates between Operational Controlling, Revenue Controlling, and Business Finance. Coordinates with Group Controller and International Core teams.
Work Mode
This role operates on a hybrid basis and is located in Bezons, France.
