Role Overview
The Senior Control Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of control processes within External Logistics. This position serves as the final analytical checkpoint before reporting to leadership, ensuring that controls are not only documented but consistently executed and verifiable during audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate the implementation and documentation of controls across core logistics functions including cost, customs, process, and data integrity.
- Review analytical work produced by junior analysts, assessing inputs, assumptions, methods, and conclusions for completeness and soundness.
- Ensure control evidence is robust, traceable, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
- Identify deficiencies in control performance, data quality, or procedural compliance and drive corrective actions.
- Verify the suitability and reliability of data sources used in reporting and analysis.
- Compile findings into clear, structured narratives that support audit readiness and executive decision-making.
- Integrate insights across multiple compliance domains and ongoing projects to maintain consistency and reduce duplication.
- Translate complex analytical results into actionable information for risk management leadership.
- Support the design and validation of performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
- Escalate persistent control failures or systemic issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Minimize rework by strengthening process discipline and reducing dependency on manual oversight.
- Collaborate with Control Analysts to improve the maturity and consistency of control execution.
- Maintain continuity of knowledge through team changes, including onboarding and training of new analysts and interns.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, Compliance, or a related field is required. Candidates should have 5–8 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and professional background. A valid driver’s license and passport are necessary to support travel requirements.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in logistics, customs, international trade, manufacturing, or a regulated sector. Fluency in English is required, with additional proficiency in French, German, or Spanish considered an asset.
