About the Role
This position leads the strategy and execution of connected vehicle and electronic tolling initiatives within major transportation programs. The role involves technical oversight, team leadership, and coordination with government and industry partners to deploy advanced mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and deployment of connected vehicle technology initiatives
- Oversee electronic tolling system design and integration across transportation networks
- Manage technical teams working on intelligent transportation systems
- Coordinate with public and private stakeholders on technology implementation
- Ensure compliance with federal and state transportation standards
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Provide technical guidance on vehicle-to-infrastructure communication systems
- Support procurement and vendor selection for technology solutions
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
- Prepare reports and presentations for executive and client review
- Drive innovation in mobility and traffic management platforms
- Address cybersecurity considerations in connected systems
- Lead pilot programs and field testing for new technologies
- Ensure interoperability across different tolling and communication platforms
- Advise on regulatory and policy implications of emerging technologies
- Integrate sustainability practices into system designs
- Support grant applications and funding proposals for technology projects
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and advancements
- Facilitate training for operations and maintenance teams
- Troubleshoot technical issues during deployment phases
- Promote data-driven decision-making in project execution
- Ensure alignment with regional transportation goals
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Support post-deployment evaluation and optimization
- Foster collaboration between engineering, planning, and IT teams
