About the Role
The Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in cloud operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions to support business needs.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of cloud systems.
- Develop and implement automated solutions for cloud infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability and performance best practices into software development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Implement and manage cloud security measures to protect against threats.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure and processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure.
- Work with vendors and service providers to manage cloud services and contracts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends.
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud infrastructure.
- Conduct performance testing and optimization of cloud systems.
- Implement and manage cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Implement and manage cloud backup and recovery solutions.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions.
- Implement and manage cloud network configurations and security groups.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and manage cloud identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure documentation and runbooks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement cloud infrastructure roadmaps and strategies.
Nice to Have
- Certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-native applications and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud cost management tools such as CloudHealth or CloudCheckr.
