Altera Digital Health is hiring a Senior Clinical Consultant. In this role, you will leverage extensive clinical expertise to provide strategic consultation and support to healthcare providers, administrators, and stakeholders across Canada, playing a pivotal role in improving clinical outcomes and enhancing patient care.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert clinical consultation to healthcare organizations, offering guidance on clinical practices, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clinical practices and workflows to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored solutions.
- Design, implement, and deliver training programs for clinical staff and management to enhance clinical skills and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care models.
- Assist in the formulation and review of clinical policies and procedures.
- Analyze clinical data and performance metrics to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Lead and manage projects related to clinical initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Stay current with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medicine, Health Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- At least 3 years in a consultative or leadership role.
- Leadership skills to lead, motivate, mentor and guide small to large-scale teams.
- Clinical experience as a physician or nurse by trade.
- Previous experience leading change or transformation projects in Canada.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing clinical programs that enhance patient care.
- Experience working within the Canadian healthcare system, with a strong understanding of provincial and federal regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex clinical data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, patient safety protocols, and evidence-based clinical practices.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other health informatics tools.
- 10-15% travel required, with key travel during final stages of go-live.

- A master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration).
