Capgemini is looking for a Senior C/C++ Engineer to develop and integrate real‑time DSP algorithms into the Windows audio stack, spanning DSP runtimes, Windows Audio Processing Objects (APOs), and driver integration. This position focuses on delivering high‑quality, low‑latency, and certifiable audio solutions for Windows laptops and devices.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and optimize real‑time audio DSP algorithms, including EQ, dynamics, limiting, transducer protection, and spatial processing
- Ensure DSP code meets strict real‑time performance, latency, and CPU constraints
- Design and implement Windows Audio Processing Objects (APOs), including System Effects (SFX) and Endpoint Effects (EFX)
- Integrate APOs with the Windows Audio Engine, following Microsoft interface contracts and threading models
- Work with OEM or codec‑vendor audio drivers
What We're Looking For
- Strong C/C++ development experience
- Solid understanding of digital signal processing for audio
- Experience with real‑time, low‑latency systems
- Strong debugging skills in timing, threading, and memory
- Windows Audio Engine fundamentals
- Windows APO development experience
- Understanding of WASAPI concepts
- Familiarity with audio driver stacks and codec integration
- Upper‑Intermediate level of English
Nice to Have
- Experience with audio certification flows like HLK and WHQL
- Experience working with OEM laptop audio platforms
- Familiarity with spatial or virtualization audio
- Knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink or other DSP modeling tools
- Experience with audio measurement tools and lab workflows
