Fraunhofer FKIE is hiring a Scientific Employee in Sensor Data Fusion to work on innovative research projects in reconnaissance and sensor data fusion. You will develop and test novel methods for fusing heterogeneous sensors and resource management, contributing to more powerful systems and new functions.
What You'll Do
- Work on innovative research projects in reconnaissance and sensor data fusion to make systems more powerful, enable new functions, and build demonstrators.
- Conceive, develop, and test novel methods for fusing heterogeneous sensors and for resource management.
- Develop algorithms for reliable target tracking and classification.
- Carefully document results and present them to project partners, clients, and the professional public.
- Contribute ideas to the national and international scientific community, making a significant contribution to knowledge transfer.
What We're Looking For
- A successfully completed scientific university degree in computer science, electrical engineering/communications engineering, or a comparable degree program.
- Very good programming skills, for example in C/C++ or Python.
- Enthusiasm for technology and research, initiative, and a reliable, scientifically sound way of working.
- Very good German and English language skills, both spoken and written.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of optimization, classification and tracking methods, data analysis and machine learning.
