RateHawk, part of the Emerging Travel Group, is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager (Contracting). Our mission is to create, distribute, and operate the most convenient travel products by innovating in the complex travel industry to make travel more widely available, rewarding, and simple. In this role, you will be central to expanding our hotel inventory through direct contracting in designated city destinations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify growth opportunities.
- Utilize extranet tools and negotiation skills to directly contract with hotels, securing favorable terms, rates, and inventory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners to maximize mutual benefits.
- Negotiate competitive rates, discounts, and value-added amenities.
- Monitor the performance of contracted hotels, including occupancy and client feedback.
- Manage the entire contracting process, from negotiation to execution and renewal.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders like sales, operations, and product teams.
- Spend approximately 30% of working time on business trips for client meetings and industry events.
- Provide regular reports on market trends, contracting activities, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for hotel contracts.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a similar role within the travel or destination management industry.
- Established network of hotel contacts and a proven track record of generating new business.
- Demonstrated experience managing hotel portfolios in city destinations.
- Proven experience in market analysis, strategy development, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience negotiating contracts and agreements with accommodation partners.
- Familiarity with revenue management principles and strategies.
- Ambitious, proactive, results-oriented team player comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively across a wide range of cultural contexts.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
