CoverGo is looking for a Senior Business Analyst - Insurance to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will focus on working with our enterprise insurance clients to identify business problems and develop the right analytical solutions. You'll be instrumental in gathering requirements, designing business processes, and supporting projects from QA through release.
What You'll Do
- Work with clients and technical teams to identify problems and develop the right approach and analytical solution.
- Plan and design simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications.
- Make recommendations to improve and support business activities.
- Gather business requirements through work sessions and interviews; analyze and document complex requirements and processes.
- Communicate requirements effectively to all appropriate parties.
- Create complex test case scenarios and monitor testing to verify all client requirements are met.
- Develop business requirements documents and user stories.
- May plan, allocate, and monitor the work of other business analysts.
- Understand systems and data to surface actionable insights.
- Assist in providing time estimates for project tasks.
- Aid in updating process and procedural documentation.
- Develop a basic understanding of the technical development cycle for mobile apps or web portals.
- Support QA, UAT, and Release phases via defect analysis and change maintenance.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- A degree in Business, IT, or a relevant field.
- Previous experience working in the health insurance industry is required.
- Knowledge of business analysis concepts: defining requirements, translating to technical solutions, and Agile prioritization.
- Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is a must.
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation and documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Insurtech experience is preferred.
- Health Insurance-related domain certification from INS, LOMA, or III is an added advantage.
- Technical writing skills is a plus.
