CoverGo is looking for a Senior Business Analyst - Insurance to join our team. You will work directly with insurance enterprise clients to identify business problems and develop analytical solutions. This fully remote role is key to our mission of empowering all insurance companies to make insurance 100% digital and accessible.
What You'll Do
- Work with clients and technical resources to identify business problems and develop the right analytical approach.
- Plan and design simple to semi-complex business processes and system modifications.
- Make recommendations to improve and support business activities.
- Gather complex business requirements through techniques like work sessions and interviews.
- Create complex test case scenarios and oversee testing to verify client requirements are met.
- Develop business requirements documents and user stories to support required modifications.
- May plan, allocate, and monitor the work of other business analysts.
- Understand systems and related data to surface actionable insights.
- Assist in providing time estimates for project-related tasks.
- Aid in updating process and procedural documentation.
- Develop a basic understanding of the technical development cycle for mobile applications or web portals.
- Support QA, UAT, and Release phases via defect analysis and change maintenance.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- A degree in Business, IT, or a relevant field.
- Previous experience working in the insurance industry is required.
- Knowledge of business analysis concepts: defining requirements, translating to technical solutions, and an Agile approach.
- Business analysis skills including facilitation, process documentation, requirements gathering, and user acceptance testing.
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Experience in an Agile and/or Scrum environment is a must.
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation and documenting system functionality, data integration, and workflow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be able to speak Cantonese fluently.
- Must be based in Malaysia.
Nice to Have
- Insurtech or health insurance experience is preferred.
- Health Insurance-related domain certification from INS/LOMA or III is an added advantage.
- Technical writing skills are a plus.
