NTT DATA is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team supporting a large-scale Payments Transformation program. This role leverages deep expertise in wire payments to modernize processing capabilities across Fedwire, SWIFT, and CHIPS. You will work closely with product, operations, compliance, and engineering teams as a key subject matter expert.
What You'll Do
- Lead requirements definition for wire payments transformation initiatives.
- Provide subject matter expertise across Fedwire, SWIFT, and CHIPS.
- Analyze and document end-to-end wire processing flows, from initiation through settlement.
- Translate business and regulatory needs into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to guide solution design and modernization.
- Support data mapping, message standards, and integration design.
- Identify operational, regulatory, and settlement risks and drive mitigation strategies.
- Support testing strategy, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation readiness.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role supporting wire payments in the financial services industry.
- 5+ years’ professional experience in Fedwire, SWIFT, and CHIPS wire payment flows.
- 5+ years’ professional experience translating business and regulatory requirements into functional specifications.
- Must be located in the United States and able to work in a hybrid or on-site capacity as required.
- Strong hands-on experience in Fedwire Funds Service (US domestic wires).
- Strong hands-on experience in SWIFT (MT and/or ISO 20022 message flows).
- Strong hands-on experience in CHIPS payment processing and settlement concepts.
- Strong hands-on experience in wire initiation, validation, repair, and release processes.
- Strong hands-on experience in cut-off times, settlement windows, and liquidity considerations.
- Strong hands-on experience in investigations, recalls, amendments, and exceptions.
- Strong hands-on experience in sanctions screening, AML, and compliance controls related to wires.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
