The Environmental Protection Authority is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join a technical team dedicated to strengthening Auckland. You will play a key role in assessing the built environment to inform maintenance and renewal programmes that deliver for the community.
What You'll Do
- Assess the condition, risk, and resilience of buildings and structures across the Auckland Region.
- Make on-the-spot decisions about construction, structural, and civil engineering matters.
- Recommend response and remedial actions for built assets requiring attention.
- Conduct impartial analysis and reporting on community facilities to determine technical performance, condition, compliance, and service life expectancy.
What We're Looking For
- A qualification in building surveying and/or structural or civil engineering.
- Proven experience in assessing infrastructure and building assets.
- Asset management experience.
- Proficiency in information systems relating to GIS and asset data collection.
- A valid New Zealand driver's licence.
