Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Senior BIM Modeler to be a key technical contributor on major transportation projects. In this role, you will support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in implementing BIM processes and ensuring all models and deliverables meet rigorous project standards.

What You'll Do

• Support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
• Develop 3D/2D dimensional models required for drawing preparation, clash reporting, and presentations aligned with project LOD requirements.
• Extract 3D models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity surveying.
• Ensure coordination of all model interfaces with designers and engineers from other disciplines.
• Ensure all models, drawings, and deliverables are checked for compliance with project and company quality standards.
• Prepare engineering drawings from the model including arrangements, layouts, profiles, and sections.
• Develop and extract 2D geometry from models for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
• Ensure Project Information Models (PIMs) are delivered per agreed TIDP, MIDP, and CDE protocol.
• Prepare BIM package submissions in accordance with project standards.
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
• Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
• Coordinate work with the lead technical engineer, taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with 5-8 years of in-depth Revit experience.
• Proficiency in CAD design 2D/3D (AutoCAD and Revit).
• Demonstrated ability to set up new Revit project files for a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability.
• Experience producing Revit Families according to project requirements and maintaining a library of families/objects.
• Ability to run clash detection in Revit.
• Strong general computer skills.
• Experience producing working drawings in Revit.
• Expert knowledge of Revit, including parametric modeling, generating Bill of Material, creating families, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
• Advanced Revit skills essential, including creating federated models using Revit Links, working with Revit Worksets, and professional use of shared coordinates.
• Proficiency in BIM Authoring, Scripting, Design Review, Coordination, Simulations, and Collaboration Platforms: Revit Structure, Dynamo, Navisworks, BIM 360, & AutoCAD.
• Concrete and Steel Bridge and tunnel projects experience is required.
• Knowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
• Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (e.g., LOD, naming conventions, parametric modeling).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to form effective relationships with the project delivery team, client, and contractor under time pressure.
• Ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in additional BIM platforms: ProjectWise, Synchro, Bluebeam Studio, Autodesk Inventor professional, Sketchup, 3D Max.
