About the Role

Standard Chartered is looking for a Senior Associate Director to join our Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) team in the UAE. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic revenue generation and business development, driving our Digital Agenda, and delivering professional client service while ensuring full compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Create strategic plans for revenue generation and business development while driving the Digital Agenda.
  • Generate new business to achieve defined targets for customer numbers, volumes, revenue, product mix, active/passive ratios, liabilities, and transactions.
  • Induct all new-to-bank (NTB) customers brought in by the Branches & Direct Sales team.
  • Create sales call plans to acquire large prospective customers through referrals.
  • Update and maintain all Sales MIS (Calls, Prospects, Attritions, Business done, etc.).
  • Meet customer expectations, handle and reduce complaints, and provide professional service to achieve high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead by example to build the appropriate culture and values, setting the right tone and expectations for your team, and collaborating with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure KYC/AML updates and proper zero-error documentation.
  • Detect any suspicious transactions, money laundering, forgeries, or other irregularities.
  • Maintain the highest compliance with Anti-Bribery, Anti-Money Laundering & Combating Financial Crime Risk procedures.
  • Obtain your Security & Commodity Authority (SCA) license within 6 months of joining and complete Continuous Program Development (CPD) requirements post-licensing.

What We're Looking For

  • A university graduate with relevant experience in sales and relationship management.
  • Experience handling all Banking & Investment Products.
  • Demonstrated ability in sales planning.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Networking ability to manage interdepartmental deliverables.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills that encourage enthusiasm and team spirit.
  • A good understanding of the UAE business environment, preferably with direct contacts in the local HNI community.
  • Computer literacy at the user level.
  • Ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of capital markets and financial planning.
  • SCA certified, or committed to completing certification within 6 months.
