RTX Corporation is hiring a Senior Analyst, Procurement to join the Mission Systems procurement team. This remote position is based in Puerto Rico and focuses on supporting day-to-day purchasing activities within a low-volume, high-mix aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to grow your supply chain expertise through hands-on supplier coordination and ensuring material availability for production.
What You'll Do
- Carry out procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
- Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure smooth procurement under general guidance.
- Engage with functions outside of supply chain (Finance, Engineering, Operations, programs) to ensure timely resolution of medium to complex supply chain issues.
- Be proactive to mitigate and minimize supply chain risks to prevent critical line stops.
- Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts.
- Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
- Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Be responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships within a commodity, ensuring product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost.
- Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable prices.
- May also perform delivery assurance responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Prior experience in supply chain, operations, procurement, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
Nice to Have
- Prior SAP and/or Procurement experience.
- Knowledge of the industry and market conditions.
- Experience with Supply Chain processes and ERP Systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships.
