About the Role

RTX Corporation is seeking a Principal Specialist, Supply Chain Management to join the Resilient Navigation Solutions portfolio within Collins Mission Systems. This individual contributor role is the primary point of contact to management and internal customers for programs like JPALS or AGR, responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategy and managing all proposal efforts.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all proposal efforts from cradle-to-grave, including understanding RFPs/RFIs, building supplier relationships for quotes, building Material Cost Summaries, and presenting proposal strategy to leadership.
  • Develop and execute the Supply Chain Program Strategy and Material Program Plan.
  • Advise program management office and leadership team on strategies and progress.
  • Guide multiple functions on developing Supplier Statement of Work (SSOWs) and ensuring adherence to RTX policies.
  • Plan and execute supplier and subcontractor negotiations and performance management.
  • Generate supplier risk and opportunity management plans, including Six Sigma activities.
  • Support leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews.
  • Represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives; serve as liaison between Program Executive, Program Managers, IPTs and Supply Chain.
  • Oversee all SCM activities to meet program requirements and ensure link between Supply Chain functions like Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

What We're Looking For

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing or enterprise planning tools such as SAP or PRISM.
  • Experience leading or participating in a project or cross-functional teams.
  • Material Program Management (MPM) Certification required within one (1) year in the role.
  • Prior work experience in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in proposal writing and supplier management.
  • Earned Value Management Systems Certification / Material Program Management Certification.
  • Prior experience collaborating with all functions to develop Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations.

Work Mode

This position is fully remote. Preference is for candidates within Southern California, the East Coast region, or those with the ability to work a PST schedule.
