Penn State is hiring a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to provide operational support to Professor Dipanjan Pan and the Laboratory for Materials in Medicine within the Department of Nuclear Engineering. You will be responsible for the administrative and business office tasks essential for running a dynamic research group.
What You'll Do
- Maintain calendars and schedule appointments
- Monitor budgets and reconcile purchasing cards
- Arrange and coordinate travel
- Process reimbursements
- Assist with lab orders
- Manage conference room scheduling
- Email listservs
- Assist with coordinating regular group meetings
- Work closely with the College of Engineering and NUCE business and research offices to facilitate the processing of forms and documents
What We're Looking For
- A High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated professionalism with a high commitment to customer service
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks with minimal direction
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgment while managing confidential information

- Knowledge in SIMBA SAP/Concur, Shop OnLion, and Worklion/Workday

Team & Environment
You will provide support to the Laboratory for Materials in Medicine led by Prof. Dipanjan Pan within the Department of Nuclear Engineering, reporting directly to the Principal Investigator.
