Illumina, Inc. is looking for a Senior Analyst, Compliance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the anti-corruption compliance program for the Middle East and Africa sub-region, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations. You will report to the Europe Regional Compliance Officer and serve as a local subject matter expert.
What You'll Do
- Provide compliance oversight and support for the Middle East and Africa at the direction of the Europe Regional Compliance Officer.
- Serve as the sub-regional point of contact for compliance-related matters.
- Assist with cross-regional projects, initiatives, or risk areas as needed.
- Help ensure the sub-regional program aligns with the global Corporate Compliance Program and the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.
- Support the development and implementation of sub-regional compliance policies and procedures.
- Deliver effective training and communications, including localization.
- Promote awareness of the Corporate Compliance Program across the sub-region.
- Conduct sub-region monitoring and auditing based on the annual Global Monitoring and Auditing Plan.
- Administer sub-regional Channel Partner databases and coordinate due diligence on distributors, agents, and third-party intermediaries.
- Support compliance and ethics-related investigations, inspections, and audits.
- Provide quarterly reporting to the Europe RCO regarding sub-regional compliance initiatives, training, and program performance.
What We're Looking For
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and considerable related experience, or an equivalent combination.
- Familiarity with regional and global anti-corruption laws, regulations, and related controls.
- Knowledge of anti-corruption compliance, including the 7 Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.
- Strong sense of integrity and ability to balance business needs with independent judgment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and self-management skills; able to work independently in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent project management, process improvement, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint emphasized).
- Strong diplomatic skills, cultural awareness, and ability to find business-friendly compliance solutions.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CPA, JD, MBA) is a plus.
- Regional medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturer-related compliance experience strongly preferred.
- Fluency in any MEA language is a plus, preferably Arabic.
