About the Role

Abilene Christian University seeks a Senior Analyst Financial Planning & Analysis to provide critical financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis in support of enrollment growth and the university's long-term strategic planning. This role is central to understanding and shaping our financial future.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive financial modeling to forecast revenue streams and support long-term financial planning.
  • Analyze rate and volume metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting enrollment.
  • Perform gap analysis comparing actual performance against forecasts and budgets, providing actionable insights.
  • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to leverage Power BI and other tools to create automated reporting solutions.
  • Support ad hoc financial modeling, business development initiatives, and pricing strategies to drive enrollment growth.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and assist in preparing monthly performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Reconcile and analyze revenue-based expenses by program across the University.
  • Provide ongoing support for monthly close processes, variance analysis, and other ad hoc analysis.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships in a remote working environment.
  • Problem-solver with the ability to manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Employee must be a professing Christian and willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree or CPA.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis within a higher education environment.
  • Understanding of higher education financial structures, enrollment drivers, and tuition revenue dynamics.

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Power BI

Team & Environment

You will partner closely with the Data & Analytics team to enhance reporting and insights.
