AECOM is hiring a Senior Air Quality Technical Lead

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development and proposal efforts using strong technical expertise and industry contacts, particularly in the energy and oil & gas sectors.
  • Apply working knowledge of relevant air quality regulatory programs, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Manage air quality assessment components of permits and environmental assessments.
  • Liaise with provincial and federal regulators for submissions and permit applications.
  • Prepare high-quality air quality assessment reports for permits and environmental assessments.
  • Manage dispersion modeling using AERMOD, CALPUFF, and CAL3QHCR.
  • Estimate emissions (GHG, CACs, and other pollutants) using site data, emission factors, and US EPA MOVES.
  • Interpret modeling results and compare them with applicable regulations.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of monitoring equipment.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and labs for performance checks and calibration.
  • Manage data collection, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality.
  • Lead development of air quality monitoring and management plans.
  • Investigate industrial processes and emissions in sectors such as oil and gas, transportation, and chemicals.
  • Recommend air pollution control measures and compliance strategies.
  • Work closely with internal teams and clients to meet project objectives.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Support automation of data workflows using tools such as Python or R.

Requirements

  • Experienced Senior Air Quality Consultant
  • Strong technical expertise in air dispersion modeling, emissions management, and permitting
  • Working knowledge of relevant air quality regulatory programs, guidelines, and best practices
  • Ability to manage air quality assessment components of permits and environmental assessments
  • Experience with air dispersion modeling using AERMOD, CALPUFF, and CAL3QHCR
  • Proficiency in estimating emissions using site data, emission factors, and US EPA MOVES
  • Experience interpreting modeling results and comparing them with applicable regulations
  • Experience overseeing installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of monitoring equipment
  • Ability to coordinate with suppliers and labs for performance checks and calibration
  • Experience managing data collection, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data quality
  • Experience leading development of air quality monitoring and management plans
  • Ability to investigate industrial processes and emissions in sectors such as oil and gas, transportation, and chemicals
  • Proven ability to recommend air pollution control measures and compliance strategies
  • Experience working closely with internal teams and clients to meet project objectives
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Experience supporting automation of data workflows using tools such as Python or R
