Virta Health is hiring a Senior AI Product Engineer for our AI Enablement Team. In this role, you will rapidly build impactful workflow and AI-driven product solutions from discovery to production readiness, automating internal processes and enhancing productivity across the company.
What You'll Do
- Embed with cross-functional teams to understand manual processes, then prototype, deploy, and own automated solutions.
- Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams during initial discovery to understand business challenges and define success metrics.
- Rapidly prototype Workflow and AI-enabled automations.
- Independently drive solutions from initial prototype through to robust, production-grade deployment within a 4–6 week cycle.
- Continuously provide feedback to platform teams on gaps in development workflow, infrastructure, observability, library abstractions, and ci/cd.
- Continuously automate your own processes using AI, enhancing efficiency and accelerating development timelines.
- Maintain active engagement with stakeholders to ensure adoption and refine solutions based on feedback.
- Stay updated on advancements in AI models and tools, proactively applying relevant developments to enhance your solutions.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, and modern frameworks such as React.
- Demonstrated experience creating AI-backed tools using LLMs.
- Working knowledge of cutting edge Agent design patterns & techniques.
- Proven track record in rapid prototyping, iterative product development, and delivering robust-by-design solutions.
- Excellent debugging skills.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High degree of ownership and accountability, especially with sensitive or critical systems.
- Strong collaborative mindset and clear communication skills, comfortable working across diverse teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

- Compensation range: $167,249 - $216,000.
Work Mode
This is a remote-first role open to candidates across the US, excluding AK, AR, DE, HI, ME, MS, NM, OK, SD, VT, and WI for corporate roles.
