Ripple Effect was looking for a Senior Advisor - Healthcare Programs & Policy (CMS)

Ripple Effect is hiring a Senior Advisor of Healthcare Programs and Policy to serve the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI/CMS). In this role, you will advise on policy pathways for Medicare and Medicaid payment models, provide oversight on technical execution, and lead data analysis to support strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Provide oversight over technical execution for CMMI initiatives, advise on methodology, and solve complex issues including stakeholder management, data analysis, and business process reengineering.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact communications including reports, memos, presentations, and briefs for cross-functional leadership that identify and address compliance risks.
  • Independently lead data collection, quality control, analysis, synthesis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making surrounding Medicaid hospital global budgets, APC payment models, and MA datasets.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree (MA/MS) in field of study relevant to healthcare, health policy, or relevant fields.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience; additional education may substitute for experience.
  • Experience with CMS policies surrounding diverse payment and delivery models.
  • Must demonstrate that you are free from conflicts of interest to serve as senior advisor.
  • Experience interpreting healthcare data systems and identifiers to drive empirical, analytical, and conceptual strategies.
  • Advanced experience with program management and policy.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office productivity software and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Nice to Have

  • Certificate in project management such as CAPM, PMP, PgMP or PfMP.
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, including CMMI.
  • Advanced experience with technical writing in areas including process documentation, briefing decks, status reports, memos and other business writing.
