Redland City Council is hiring a Senior Adviser Workplace Relations to provide expert industrial and employment relations advice across our diverse organisation. You will support leaders to manage complex workplace matters and lead investigations, playing a key role in improving our organisational practices.

What You'll Do

Provide workplace relations and industrial relations advice to leaders across Council.
Lead complex workplace investigations in accordance with Council policies and legislative requirements.
Manage disciplinary and employment matters from initial assessment through to resolution.
Prepare high quality investigation reports, briefs, and correspondence for senior leaders and executive.
Identify themes and systemic issues arising from workplace matters and contribute to improvements in leadership practice, policies, and organisational processes.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in workplace relations, industrial relations, or employment law environments.
Experience undertaking complex workplace investigations and managing disciplinary processes.
Working knowledge of Queensland industrial relations legislation and frameworks.
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and defensible reports and advice.
Collaborative stakeholder management and effective negotiation skills.
Excellent time management and the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.

Nice to Have

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Law, or a related field are desirable, but not essential. Candidates currently working towards completion are welcome to apply.
