Alliance Animal Health is hiring a Payroll Specialist for a 3-month temporary assignment. This fully-remote role supports day-to-day payroll functions for a complex, fast-growing veterinary services organization with over 4000 employees across 220+ practices. What You'll Do
- Support day-to-day payroll functions in ADP Workforce Now for a highly complex organization spanning 125 FEINs, ensuring accurate, timely processing and internal controls.
- Partner with HR, Accounting, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes.
- Resolve complex payroll issues and discrepancies, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution within 48 business hours.
- Stay up to date with U.S. payroll regulations, payroll tax laws, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence and timely filings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external payroll, tax vendors, and legal counsel.
- Participate in the analysis and implementation of new payroll systems and procedures to streamline processes and improve team efficiencies.
- Anticipate problems and provide solutions or develop contingencies.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll operations management.
- Exceptional attention to detail, knowledge of U.S. employment law, payroll systems, and an understanding of U.S. payroll and payroll tax regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple, diverse, and potentially conflicting priorities.
- Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll rules and regulations.
- Extensive experience with payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
