AIG is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst

AIG is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join the MGA team. You will support pricing, monitoring, and profitability assessments for all Managing General Agents across Australia and New Zealand, working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support proactive, regular portfolio management to ensure sustainable profitable growth.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practice portfolio management and monitoring tools.
  • Support regular assessment of profitability and detailed profitability studies by segment.
  • Support the development of new or refinement of existing pricing models and technical raters.
  • Support due diligence analysis for new MGA opportunities.
  • Assist with proactive engagement with underwriters, functions, and MGAs, providing strategic direction.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc analyses as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field.
  • Prior general insurance experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated pricing, monitoring, and portfolio management experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and deliver quality results efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, project management, and time management abilities.
  • Valid rights to work in Australia, as employer sponsorship is not available.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in programming across at least one of Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with databases and proficient data extraction and manipulation skills.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the AIG Actuarial team, supporting AIG’s MGA team and reporting to the MGA Actuarial Lead.

Work Mode

This is an onsite role located in Australia or New Zealand. AIG values in-person collaboration as a vital part of its culture.
