Verisk Analytics is hiring a Senior Actuarial Analyst for our Personal Property line. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, enhance, and develop market-leading personal property insurance solutions, leveraging analytics to drive change in the industry.
What You'll Do
- Act as a key ambassador for the personal property line of business, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the product portfolio.
- Conduct research on advanced modeling techniques and new data sources to enhance current products and develop new offerings.
- Address customer and regulatory inquiries, provide expert guidance, and craft marketing materials and publications.
- Build and nurture a strong professional network within Verisk and across the insurance industry.
- Support and analyze rating bureaus and participate in special projects.
- Lead updates and innovation of personal property insurance programs to meet business demands.
- Analyze market, industry, competitor, and regulatory trends, turning insights into actionable recommendations.
- Travel occasionally for industry conferences and customer visits.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance analytics
- Completion of at least 2 CAS exams, with a commitment to attaining CAS membership
- Ability to excel both independently and within a collaborative team environment
Nice to Have
- Additional relevant education
- Programming skills (or interest in learning) such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS
- Experience in predictive modeling and/or data analysis
- Personal property insurance experience
- Deep understanding of market, industry, customer, and competitor dynamics
- History of fostering strong, innovative customer relationships and contributing to product development
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
