What You'll Do
Take ownership of client financial records by conducting month-end reviews, reconciling accounts, and recording journal entries to ensure accuracy and timeliness. You’ll oversee the work of junior accountants and bookkeepers, providing guidance and feedback to support their development. Create easy-to-understand financial dashboards that help clients understand their performance and make informed decisions.
Use cloud-based platforms to manage accounts payable, payroll, and reporting, while serving as a reliable point of contact for client questions and service reviews. Train team members and clients on digital tools as needed, and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards through regular review and validation.
Requirements
- Demonstrate precision in all work, with careful attention to detail and zero tolerance for errors
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and conversation, especially when addressing time-sensitive matters
- Work independently with strong organizational skills, managing tasks and deadlines without supervision
- Quickly adapt to cloud-based accounting systems, particularly Xero or QuickBooks Online
- Apply sound judgment to categorize transactions accurately based on standard chart of account structures
- Use project management tools like Asana to track progress and document completed work efficiently
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data
- Be comfortable using Google Suite and navigating macOS environments
- Take initiative to improve processes and support team success

Compensation
