Royal Electric Company is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. In this integral role, you will support month-end processes, contribute to annual audits, and help improve our financial systems. The position can be based in our Sacramento office, Dallas office, or performed remotely.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with multi-state payroll tax setup and job cost adjustments.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Improve current accounting and financial record keeping processes.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and assist with account reconciliations.
- Assist with accounting and payroll inquiries.
- Perform analysis of overhead accounts.
- Maintain union accrual analysis, job cost adjustments, and business licenses in all cities and states in which we work.
- Analyze financial data for forecasting department budgets.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university.
- 3+ years of relevant working experience in either public accounting or private industry.
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

- Experience in the construction industry.
