About the Role
The Senior Accountant will oversee key accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role supports accurate and timely financial statements and works closely with internal teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Review and process journal entries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial matters
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Monitor financial controls and recommend enhancements
- Track fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Assist with tax preparation and filings
- Maintain documentation for accounting procedures
- Ensure timely submission of financial disclosures
- Evaluate new accounting standards and assess impact
- Support system upgrades and financial software implementations
- Coordinate intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Provide financial insights to management
- Train junior staff on accounting practices
- Manage vendor and client billing inquiries
- Ensure compliance with internal policies
- Prepare regulatory filings as required
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data
- Respond to ad hoc financial reporting requests
