Lead the accounting function for a Miami-based financial services organization as the Senior Accountant, operating directly under the guidance of the Group CFO. This role is central to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance across a multi-entity international structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, receivables, payroll entries, accruals, and general ledger management
- Execute timely month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of financial variances
- Manage and reconcile trust accounts in line with regulatory standards, ensuring full compliance with applicable rules
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements following US GAAP
- Support consolidation of financial data across multiple group entities
- Deliver management reporting packages that inform strategic decision-making
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly schedule and assist with employee benefits coordination
- Collaborate with external auditors by preparing documentation for interim and annual audits
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives
- Identify inefficiencies and lead improvements in accounting processes, including automation and reporting tools
- Maintain strict adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, particularly within financial services or similar regulated environments
- Strong grasp of US GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Hands-on background in multi-entity consolidations and reporting
- Direct experience managing trust accounting functions and compliance
- Track record supporting audits and compiling audit-ready documentation
- Highly detail-focused with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable operating in a lean team setting with minimal supervision
