About the Role
The Senior Accountant will lead financial reporting and compliance efforts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all accounting functions while supporting audits and collaborating with internal teams to enhance financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Prepare and analyze general ledger entries and financial statements
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits
- Maintain accurate documentation for all accounting transactions
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Support tax preparation by providing necessary financial data
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software
- Coordinate with external partners on financial reporting needs
- Provide guidance on accounting treatment for complex transactions
- Track and report on capital expenditures
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Support intercompany accounting activities
- Respond to financial inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Prepare regulatory filings as required
- Conduct periodic financial reviews and variance analysis
- Assist in training junior accounting staff
