Eigen Labs is hiring a Senior Accountant to be an integral part of the finance team. You will manage core accounting functions, lead process improvements, and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.

What You'll Do

• Own the full accounts payable and receivable cycle, including coding invoices, processing payments, and resolving issues.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications.
• Manage coding of credit card transactions and ensure timely reconciliations.
• Record all cash receipts and disbursements daily.
• Maintain supporting documentation and ensure policy compliance.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and maintain general ledgers and trial balances.
• Maintain and reconcile month-end schedules such as fixed assets, prepaids, and other general ledger accounts.
• Assist in tracking and evaluating cost variances.
• Manage cryptocurrency accounting and reconciliations, including tracking digital asset transactions and valuations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment on strategic business initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Ensure compliance with state-specific reporting requirements and presence (nexus) rules, including the preparation and filing of multi-state tax reports.
• Assist with other projects and analyses as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close procedures.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for vendor and cross-functional interaction.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with crypto accounting.
