Centene Management Company LLC is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the AcariaHealth Pharmacy Accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and executing accounting and finance functions, preparing managerial and financial reports, and maintaining the general ledger.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and analyze journal entries, income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports regularly.
- Report on and advise regarding the organization’s financial status.
- Develop integrated revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring financial information is recorded accurately.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document accounting processes.
- Adapt accounting functions to current computerized accounting systems technology.
- Prepare and maintain claims liability lag reports.
- Reconcile and review claims system reports and claims liability reports.
- Participate in due diligence, integration activities for acquired companies, and technical accounting research.
- Conduct special studies and recommend enhancements to accounting methods.
- Assist with the provision of Medicare coverage and services.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or the health care industry
Nice to Have
- Master’s Degree
- Certified Public Accountant certification
- Expert proficiency in Excel
- Experience with automated accounting systems
- Detail-oriented and organized working style
