Join Stay AI as a Senior Accountant on our lean and dynamic Finance team. In this role at our fast-growing Series A tech company, you will own critical accounting workstreams, support financial reporting, and help lay the foundation for scalable processes.

What You'll Do

Own key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue analysis.
Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages for leadership and investors.
Support the annual financial audit by coordinating with external auditors, preparing schedules, and gathering documentation.
Partner cross-functionally to support business-critical initiatives, including process automation and systems improvements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting documentation, including memos and accounting policies in the internal handbook.
Assist with FP&A tasks, such as variance analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional reporting as needed.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3–6 years of accounting experience.
CPA (or actively pursuing licensure; all four exams passed).
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Quickbooks, Bill.com (or similar) and comfortable working with large datasets.
Adaptable, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

Mix of public accounting and industry experience.
Prior experience with SaaS or revenue recognition (ASC 606).
