3Degrees is hiring a Senior Account Executive, Global Business Solutions to drive climate action with enterprise-class companies. You will develop senior-level relationships and sell our full suite of climate and renewable energy products to exceed an aggressive sales plan. This role manages the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
What You'll Do
- Develop a sales strategy for your assigned market, identifying, qualifying, and prioritizing opportunities using your network and research.
- Generate leads through direct prospecting and networking, including attending regional or national conferences.
- Actively listen to prospects to identify needs and educate them on the most suitable product offerings.
- Manage a complex sales cycle from prospect identification through contract completion, ensuring accurate communication and documentation.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts in your territory through excellent customer service and timely follow-up.
- Work cross-functionally with internal partners to ensure service excellence.
- Deliver accurate, up-to-date sales forecasts and activity tracking in Salesforce.
- Proactively contribute to continuous improvement of products, marketing, and sales processes.
- Stay current on the renewable energy industry, climate solutions, competitors, and new product offerings.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated track record of sales success with large national commercial customers (Fortune 1000).
- Minimum of 5 years of B2B outside sales experience owning and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience selling to Sustainability and/or Energy executives and decision-makers.
- Deep understanding of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and associated global standards like GRI and SBTi.
- Experience selling RECs and/or carbon credits, renewable energy, or closely adjacent services to sustainability buyers.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.
- A 'hunter' with a proven track record of prospecting, identifying, and closing new business while managing a pipeline.
- A passion for helping large commercial clients achieve carbon reduction and renewable energy goals.
Nice to Have
- Professional training on value-based selling techniques and strategic solutions selling.
- A degree in finance, business, environmental science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
