J.S. Held LLC is seeking a Senior Accident Reconstructionist to lead investigations, manage projects, and develop business across Canada. You will be responsible for conducting unbiased analyses, communicating findings clearly, and mentoring junior team members in a high-energy, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage accident reconstruction projects and maintain client relationships.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities.
- Conduct unbiased field investigations and testing of incidents and loss events.
- Provide technical findings, analysis, and conclusions in layman's terms, both verbally and in writing.
- Travel for inspections, field work, marketing, and business development.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and project teams on status and scope.
- Maintain technical and professional knowledge through continuing education, seminars, and professional organizations.
- Continuously meet or exceed assigned performance metrics and goals.
- Mentor and train junior engineers.
- Participate in informative presentations for clients and peers.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience managing projects and developing business opportunities.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and an attitude to deliver results.
- Mathematically and technologically inclined with ability to adapt quickly.
- Skilled with software and technical systems.
- Willingness and ability to obtain additional licensure and certification.
- Ability to work remotely or while travelling to different job sites (reliable cellular service, access to high-speed data, etc.).
- Willingness and desire to work above and beyond minimum performance and goal requirements.
- Must be able to travel to different regions throughout Canada (have reliable transportation, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering field.
- Minimum of 15 years of post-academic industry engineering experience.
- ACTAR certification.
- Foundation of testifying experience.
- Experience in technical reports.
- Experience managing teams.
- Master’s Degree.

- Compensation: $150,000 - $250,000
