Responsibilities

  • Monitor security tools and systems by analyzing logs, alerts, and data for suspicious activity.
  • Investigate potential threats to determine if alerts are genuine incidents and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee all incident and security issues, including initial triage, troubleshooting, and remediation.
  • Collect and analyze evidence to understand the scope and impact of incidents.
  • Contain threats and remediate vulnerabilities by quickly isolating incidents to minimize damage and implementing patches, configuration changes, or other measures.
  • Recover from incidents and report to management by assisting in restoring affected systems and data to normal state and keeping management informed about security incidents and response efforts.
  • Document findings for future reference and improvement, including process roadmaps, change management validations, and incident management and resolutions for affected users and systems.
  • Administer SOC and NOC tools by managing and maintaining all owned tools, including scripting, customizations, report building, alert modifications, automations, and maintenance.
  • Minimize risk and exposure to system security and business interruptions of the company's infrastructure.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and Business Continuity Plan events.
